Respere caters to disaster management in the stages of preparedness,response and recovery. A user can have access to all or selected features.
All features are categorized into the following areas of operation:
Assess damage: Enter and display damage assessment data. Provides an overview of disaster incident, its effects, affected areas and what assistance is required in the immediate aftermath
First responder alerting and messaging: Mass messaging system to send SMS and E-mail alerts to first responders based on location
Geographical Information System (GIS) mapping: Generates analytical reports using GIS to provide an overview of the disaster location. Interacts with other geographical systems and spatial databases to publish and share information
Generate situational reports: Generates collaborative, dynamic and up-to-date reports using information from multiple authentic sources, providing an overview of the current situation
Register & manage shelters: Register basic information on shelters, facilities available at each shelter and track persons in association with each shelter from evacuees to volunteer staff
Coordinate reconstruction and rehabilitation: Manage land allocation and distribution of housing, budgets and finances. A 'Damage Mapping' feature to assist in long-term reconstruction planning and programs
Track affected persons: Register and track survivors / evacuees / internally displaced persons (IDPs) by location. Coordinate with family members and other entities that are willing to help accelerate relief process
Manage response teams and relief workers: Register and track emergency response personnel, relief workers and volunteers, with a detailed description of organization, availability and skills of persons, and resources available with group or organization.
Register and report missing persons: An online bulletin board which captures information on missing and found persons, with references and notifications to those who are trying to locate the missing. Feature includes uploading photos and use of a phonetic name search
Manage mass evacuation: Coordinating evacuees and emergency response personnel; tracking of transit shelters and managing logistics to assist in mass evacuation procedures in a pre-disaster situation
Register donor organizations: Register and co-ordinate between emergency response organizations and relief agencies - provide details on active locations of these organizations, their services and convergence of services
Request/pledge management: Track requests for aid against donor pledges; co-ordinate even distribution of relief supplies; allocate available resources effectively and efficiently starting from where it is most required
Maintain inventory of relief supplies: Maintain inventories of aid supplies located around the region- listing locations, quantities in stock, expiry dates, re-order levels and items in transit etc.
Disaster preparedness and risk mapping: Map high-risk and hazardous locations; identify most suitable locations for establishing shelters; maintain information on people, resources and infrastructure in the vulnerable area
Project management: Setup and manage emergency response or relief projects - planning, scheduling, resource allocation & monitoring, notifications and report generation etc.
